しばしば登場するパターン。

◎例
1巻より、矢代と百目鬼の出逢いのシーンから。
百目鬼のセリフ「…手ぇ出さないんですよね」が矢代の発言と取り違えられて、続く矢代のセリフと合わせて、「俺は部下にはぜったい手ぇださないんだ。まあ、手は、な？」となっている。

"It's my policy to not lay a hand on my underlings.
Do you know why that is, Doumeki?
They’d be scared of me and unable to do me harshly.
It would affect their performance on the job as well.
Come on.

◎例2
1巻「漂えど〜」より。屋上でのシーンから。
相手に対して「いわれのない共感」を抱いていたのは、影山ではなく、矢代のほうだったと、転倒し誤読・誤訳されている例。言葉の表現や内容も大幅に変えられていたのを正した。

1巻より。竜崎と矢代の会話から。
雑訳のほか、意味が転倒するパターンの誤訳も見受けられる。ここでは、「松原組に残っている組員のうち、かつて矢代と寝たことがある人間は、もはや5人しかいない」と捉えて訳すべきところだが、逆に「松原組の組員のうち、かつて矢代と寝たことがない人間は、今ではわずか5人しかいない」というように誤訳されている。

“I heard that you've straightened up recently, but it won't be so easy for you to cure your bottom half from that bad habit, right?
I bet you don't even remember how many guys here you sucked off!"

とくに後半がひどく誤読・誤訳されており、話者の取り違えも起こって、意味が大幅に変わってしまっているのを正した。

◎例
3巻より。ホテルのベッドで、百目鬼をなじる井波の口を矢代がキスで塞がせた直後のシーンの会話訳例。
一部、井波のセリフと矢代のセリフが互いに取り違えられ、なかば無理矢理、意味不明なまま訳出されているのを修正した。
