ここまで改変してしまうと、大雑把な要約本かなにか別のものを読んでいるかのような気がしてくる。翻訳者にこんなにも作品を勝手に書き変える権利があるのか、個人的にはひじょうに疑問である。

この例に限ったことではないが、ここからの長い矢代と百目鬼の会話シーンでは、とくにこうした改変によって、作品本来の持つ個性や繊細で豊かな表現が損ねられているのがひじょうに気にかかる。

誤訳と雑訳。「所払い」が “banish（追放する、破門する）” と古い江戸時代におけるもともとの意味のままに解釈され、おそらく三角を指すと思われる「彼」が次の段落の主語にすり替わって、違う意味の文章に置き換えられているのを正した。
